so i was wondering how hmong people have blond hair... do you guys think that there could be some Caucasians in the Hmong blood line? Some even have lighter eye color too like green or hazel... both of my sisters have lighter hair color and my older brother has it too.. any hmong people done any research on this yet??? I was watching the discovery channel a long time ago and this group of people that lives in Russia that has Asian features, some of them have blond hair.. do you guys think that maybe Hmong people may have descended from Russia and perhaps had married Chinese people for that matter..

its called Albinism, just look it up, not just Hmong people but African in africa to. its the congenital absence of pigmentation in the eyes and skin and hair.

I would have to disagree with you, Dr Gary Yia Lee, and others who believe its albinism, not to say there isn't Hmong Albinos. Whether we did originally had blond hair and blue eyes or not (which I doubt), Europeans did once rule northern Asia. This could be trace in some Mongolian genes, and there are many Mongolians with light hair and eye colors as us.

As for being albino, there is clearly a big difference between being albino and being born with just light hair or eye color.
Blonde hair Hmong and blue eyes we have its true. People whom been studied have so many theory on it, but the bottom line what many bioloist and what I find out long ago is nore realistic about it. Hmong do have white people genes in it. Some where back in the long past where the white people, meaning the Russians, French and American in British were settling in Hmong Lands. That is where mixed interchangeg take place. Some Hmong women must have their kids in order for the genes to past on. Anyway today Hmong women and men married to white people and you see the same thing results in their kids. Believe it or not the true is there.
Hmm...Exactly nice thoughts and thorough put.
thank you. i was gonna say the same thing. couple of years back i was doin a research pappers for HS. and i thought to myself..what bout us. what bout the hmongs. where we come from. and look it up on GOOGLE. and found the same thing.
well what i have heard was that hmong people were originally blonde hair and blue eye people. as they move towards asia, they start intermarrying with asians and then black hair and brown eyes start to become dominant over the decades. well thats what i heard so dont quote me on this. there are many theories on where we originated from and who our ancestors are. i personally believe we are the lost tribe of the hebews. but thats me. the chinese erased all of our history when they fought us in china so its hard to pin point.
Hmm...Interesting I say...Another good thought of reasoning saying.
basically. we're like ancient chinese.
well there is many theory, i havent really do any internet research but from what i heard from OG, they say some hmong people look blonde and some look like us...but during the war and when we lost they blonde one arre easily discover as hmong and killed off so most of them died, maybe 99%...but some of the black haired hmong survived and migrated off...so we and our ancester still hold some recessive gene of our blonde ancestor therefore in a rare case some are bore blonde like my nephew...he is a complete blode with blue eyes but her mom only have blonde hair no blue eyes, her skin was very light but not like Caucasian light but hmong light...that wat i learn and believe.......
Really? Wow...Fascinating...If one still survives and be told their stories..Then its going to be a hit on Discovery Channel.
This may or may not be albinism. We do need to get genetic research done on this. Maybe Caucasians came from us and not vice versa.
